County Barn Rep Meeting Coming Up

 

Please join us on Saturday, April 7th from 1-3 p.m. for the next IBF County Rep meeting. The meeting will be held at the Carroll County Event and Education Center, 102 N. Fourth St., Suite A. It is located just east of Flora, off SR 18 at the 4-H Fairgrounds.

 

Tim Sheets will be giving a demo of the new barn surveying app. Following the demo he will guide everyone through the process of loading the app onto your Apple device (iPhone or iPad). Not only is it helpful to receive the how-to tutorial and be able to ask questions, there is also a bit more involved to loading the app than just going to the Apple Store and getting it.

 

If you are interested in surveying barns in your county but don’t have an Apple device, please consider coming anyway. It is a good opportunity to connect with fellow County Reps and be able to discuss the surveying process. And the IBF board wants to look into funding for the purchase of iPads that can be loaned out. So having received the how-to in person will be beneficial even if you won’t be surveying for awhile.

Would you like to learn about the app and help with surveying but can’t attend the meeting? Do you know others who might be interested? Is there a photography club or individual photographers in your area who like to capture barn images who might be willing to help? Feel free to invite others to attend the County Rep. meeting. It is open to anyone interested and willing to assist.

• June 23 – IBF Barn Tour in Jennings County

• July 21 – IBF Annual Meeting at Dull’s Tree Farm, Thorntown (exact times and details TBD)

• August – State Fair, IBF booth in Williamson Barn; volunteers will be needed to table sit

• September 7-8 – Barn Again! Indiana Landmarks program in Marshall County

• October 6 – Barn Again! Indiana Landmarks program in Putnam County
