Tommy Kleckner

A native of Iowa, Tommy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University and a Master’s degree in Historic Preservation from Ball State University.  Prior to his move to Indiana for graduate school, Tommy served as a grant administrator and city supervisor for a small southeast Iowa community before returning to assist his family with its dairy farm near Riceville, Iowa. 

 

In 1999, he became the community preservation specialist in the Western Regional Office of Indiana Landmarks, the statewide non-profit historic preservation organization.  He was promoted to director of the regional office located in Terre Haute in 2002 and oversees preservation services in a 17-county region of western Indiana.
