John Parsons is currently Hendricks County Historian and Administrator of their county wide archiving project. Having served as IT Director for 20 years, and being fond of history, this was a natural outlet to preserve history and make it readily available for those researching and compiling data for personal projects.
During the State's Bicentennial year, John and his genealogist wife, Phyllis, served on several committees and Legacy projects for Hendricks County, with the time capsule our most memorable effort. Having a woodworker's knowledge of restoration, John has restored 28 horse drawn vehicles and helped preserve several peg barns. These are ever and always a "work in progress."
